LOGAN, Utah - Utah State gymnastics team will be hosting its first "Meet the Aggies" night on Saturday, Nov. 16 from 4 to 6 p.m., to the 2014 squad.
The event will take place in the team's practice gym on the second floor of the HPER Building on the campus of Utah State. The event is free and open to the public.
The Utah State gymnasts will each perform portions of their floor routines for the upcoming season. Each routine will feature a prop related to the song which will be collected into goody bags to be handed out to those in attendance.
"I am really looking forward to the 'Meet the Aggies' event," said Utah State head coach Nadalie Walsh. "It will be great to see the community have a chance to connect to these wonderful young women who can be such great role models for the youth of Logan."
Following the performances, other games and activities will take place to help fans get to know the Aggie gymnasts.
"We are going all out for the event with goody bags for the first 200 kids, signing posters, special introductions of each athlete and gymnastics demonstrations," Walsh said. "I am really proud of the gymnasts for all of their hard work this season, so I hope to see a large turnout to give them the recognition they need and deserve right before our upcoming season."
The Utah State gymnastics team will open its 2014 campaign in its Blue and White intersquad meet on Wednesday, Dec. 4 before beginning official competition in a road meet at Iowa on Saturday, Jan. 11.
