LOGAN, Utah - Utah State Gymnastics Head Coach Ray Corn announced the signing of two Utah gymnasts who will compete for the Aggies in 2008. Maegan Snodgrass and Christa Drury will join the Aggies next fall.

Snodgrass comes to Utah State from Sandy, Utah. Snodgrass has competed as a level 10 gymnast with Olympus Gymnastics. In 2005 she finished 15th in the all-around at the Regional Championship. She is currently a senior at Bingham High School and has plans to be a pre-med major.

"It's very exciting, but a little nerve racking," said Snodgrass. "Everyone I have talked to told me that Utah State is a great school."

Drury is in her second year as a level 10 gymnast and is a current teammate of Snodgrass at Olympus Gymnastics in Sandy, Utah. She claimed the Utah State title in 2006, and went on to place 27th at the Region Championships. She was fourth in the all-around and the uneven bars as a level nine gymnasts at the 2005 Level Nine Western National Championships. She is currently a senior at Hillcrest High School and has plans to major in physical therapy.

"It has always been a dream of mine to go to USU," said Drury. "Every time I have visited Logan, it has felt like home to me."

Both are very excited to continue competing with each other at the college level. "I'm so happy that she is going," said Snodgrass. "It will help make the transition easier."

"I'm really excited that we can continue to help each other," said Drury. "We have been teammates for a very long time."
