Utah State Soccer Adds Three More For 2013 Season

The Aggies add players from three different states.

Mikayla Howes Cairns on Howes: "Mikayla is a feisty defender who will add speed and a willingness to attack from the back. She is a solid 1-v-1 defender, but also understands how to support her teammates in defensive situations and play collectively as a unit."

High School:
Three-year varsity player at Sherwood High School for head coach Bill Brown... Earned all-district first-team honors from 2010-1212... Named all-state second-team in 2012... Named Player of the Game in 2012 State Finals... Member National Honors Society from 2012-13 and was on the honor roll for four years... Earned academic all-state honors from 2010-2012... Also ran track and field in high school.

Club:Played club soccer for the Tualatin Hills United Soccer Club for coach Tom Atencio and Joy Boswell... Tualatin Ireland won the Northwest Champions League (NWCL) in both 2011 and 2012... Currently plays for FC Portland for coach Miguel Guante... Oregon 95 ODP from 2008-12 and earned a spot on the Region IV ODP team in 2012.
