Shyani Terukina Cairns on Terukina: "Shyani is a speedy, strong, technical player who has the versatility to play in the back or in more of an attacking role for us. She possesses great confidence on the ball and will be an exciting player to watch."
High School: Four-year letterwinner at Mililani High School under head coach Ray Akiona... The Trojans were 11-0-1 her senior season, scoring one goal... Was part of a defense that had 12 regular-season shutouts and three Oahu Interscholastic Association (OIA) playoff matches... Named to the 2012 all-tournament team... Earned the 2012 OC 15-team player award... Named to the Honolulu Advertiser honorable mention team... Mililani was 2012 OIA Red division and OIA Champions as well as state qualifiers.
