LOGAN, Utah - Despite 15 corner kicks and 15 shots on goal, Utah State couldn't pull out a victory against Wyoming on Sunday, Sept. 23, losing to the Cowgirls 2-0. The loss drops USU's record to 2-3-1 on the year, while Wyoming improves to 2-2-1.

"Wyoming's goalkeeper had a great game," head coach Jen Kennedy Croft said. "But we need to have the maturity to settle ourselves down when our opponents score. We had a ton of opportunities and good rhythm. We need to be able to to step up and overcome periods like the five minutes when they scored."

Wyoming's Abby Mouch scored with 47:52 gone in the game, and Kelly McKay followed with a goal at 50:22.

Aggie freshman goalie Megan Mills (Sandy, Utah) posted six saves, with five in the second half. Junior Megan Edge (South Jordan, Utah) had five shots on the game, leading the Aggie offense.

Utah State plays its next four games on the road, traveling to Las Vegas, Nev., to face Northern Arizona on Friday, Sept. 28 and UNLV on Sunday, Sept. 30. The Aggies return to Big West action Friday, Oct. 5 at Long Beach State.
