LOGAN, Utah - Utah State soccer will be hosting an alumni/current players small-sided tournament on Saturday, February 21, and all former Aggies soccer players are invited to participate.

The tournament has grown over the past few years, with 25 former players involved in 2007 to 31 last year, and Utah State soccer head coach Heather Cairns would like to see that number continue to increase this year.

Notable alumni who have played in the tournament have included six members of the inaugural 1996 team who returned to play in last season's tournament were Karly Christensen (1996-99), Trisha Cracroft (1996-99), Stacee Flygare (1996-97), Nicole Rothey (1996-97), Brittney (Killian) Sheen (1996-99) and Michelle (Pidge) Winburn (1996-99).

Those interested in playing in this year's tournament should contact Lisa Willardson at 435-797-8752.

The tournament will be held in the Stan Laub Indoor Facility. The tournament schedule and match times will be announced the week prior to the tournament.

USU's alumni tournament is part of spring drills for the Aggies, who are coming off winning their first Western Athletic Coference regular-season title this past fall after posting a 7-0-0 WAC mark. Utah State ended the season with a 13-8-1 overall record, advancing to the WAC Tournament championship match.
