Aggie Soccer to Host Alumni Event March 3
Feb. 9, 2012
LOGAN, Utah - Utah State women's soccer is preparing for its annual alumni soccer day which will be held Saturday, March 3 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Stan Laub Indoor Training Center.
Last season, the Aggies had over 40 former players attend the alumni weekend. The event gave alumni the chance to scrimmage against current Aggies. Along with the scrimmage, the event also allows Utah State to honor the 2001 graduating class.
The event is free for alumni plus one guest and children under 18. Admission is $8 for any additional guests. Alumni need to RSVP for themselves and their immediate family who will be attending by emailing Utah State soccer at firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday, Feb. 13, 2012.
The alumni event is an excellent opportunity for former Aggies to re-connect with each other and to get to know the current USU soccer players and other alumni.
Utah State returns seven starters and 18 letterwinners from last season's squad that ended a historical season with a 15-5-2 record. The Aggies posted a 5-1-1 Western Athletic Conference record en route to their third WAC regular-season title in four years. Utah State also won its first WAC Tournament title and advanced to its first NCAA Tournament. Leading the Aggies next year will be two-time WAC Defensive Player of the Year, Natalie Norris.
