USU VS. UTAH GAME RECAP -
A new offensive system for the Utah State women's soccer team would not be enough for USU to overtake Utah as the Aggies fell 3-1 in their first exhibition game Sat., Aug. 19. Trying a 4-3-3 offense versus last season's 3-4-3 set up proved to be a difficult task for the Aggies as Utah seemed to overpower USU on both sides of the ball. The USU defense struggled against the Utes as Utah broke open the day's scoring early when junior Alli Cerruti knocked in the Utes' first goal off a pass from sophomore Shauna Gurr. The Utes continued to dominate play as junior Amy Kofoed scored two more unanswered goals in the second half. USU attempted to rally late in the second half when freshman Ally Clegg (Bountiful, Utah) scored the first goal of her collegiate career off a shot from fellow freshman Amber Tracy (Wellsville, Utah) in the 82:00 of play.
