THIS WEEK - The Aggies return home to play Nevada Sunday Sept. 17. The game will be played at Tower Field beginning at noon.

NEXT WEEK - Utah State travels to El Paso, Texas to play Texas-El Paso Thursday, Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. USU will stay in Texas through the weekend to play Youngstown State Saturday, Sept. 23 at noon.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS - It its inaugural season Nevada is 1-3 on the year and coming off its first win in school history over Southern Nevada Community College (3-0) Friday. Prior to the win the Wolf Pack had lost to Sacramento State (5-1), and been shutout by Long Beach State (1-0) and Fresno State (3-0).

AGGIE HOT SHOTS - Junior Sara Buie (Salt Lake City, Utah) scored USU's only goal of the weekend knocking one into the net against Kentucky. The goal was Buie's first of the season and third of her career.

USU VS. KENTUCKY GAME RECAP - Utah State almost pulled out an upset against 16-th ranked Kentucky, but was outscored in the final eight minutes of play to fall 2-1 to the Wildcats Friday night. The Aggies were the first team to find the net as junior Sara Buie knocked in a goal off a pass from freshman Amber Tracy at the 41:50 mark. The Aggies were looking for an upset until the 82nd minute of play when UK sophomore Elizabeth Ramsey scored on a rebound off a shot that had hit the right post of the net seconds earlier. With the score tied 1-1 the Wildcats took control and senior Jen Reese scored the game-winning goal just two minutes later at 84:24. She was assisted by junior Annie Gage and sophomore Keri Boyce who brought the ball across the middle of the field tp set up Reese's shot.

USU VS. INDIANA GAME RECAP - USU's women's soccer team was shutout 3-0 by Indiana Sunday afternoon. The Aggies fell to 0-4 on the season while Indiana remained undefeated at 5-0. It didn't take IU long to get on the scoreboard as sophomore Kate Kastl scored Indiana's first goal off an assist from freshman Emily Hotz at the 8:05 mark. IU scored its second goal of the period five minutes later when junior Stacey Peterson found the net on a pass from sophomore Emily Markwell in the 14th minute of play. The Hoosiers stopped any chance of an Aggie comeback in the second period when Peterson and Markwell again teamed up for IU's third and final goal of the game at 58:25. Utah State did take seven shots, including two shots on goal, throughout the game but could not capatilize on the oppurtunities and remained scoreless after 90 minutes of play.
