LOGAN, Utah - Utah State soccer will play its first Mountain West Conference match against former Western Athletic Conference foe Nevada on Friday, Sept. 27 at 8 p.m. (MT).

USU begins its first season in the Mountain West with a pair of road matches in the Silver State. USU will conclude the brief road trip against UNLV on Sunday, Sept. 29 at 2 p.m. (MT).

The Aggies (4-3-2) look to get back on track after a four-match winless streak. Last week, Utah State dropped a pair of matches to Beehive State foes with losses to Utah and Weber State.

After a year in separate conferences, Utah State and Nevada have been reunited in the Mountain West. Overall, the Aggies hold an 8-3-0 series lead over the Wolf Pack. The last time the two teams met was in 2011 when both schools were in the Western Athletic Conference. The Aggies used second-half goals from Kendra Pemberton and Natalie Norris to take a 2-0 win. The last time that the Wolf Pack defeated the Aggies was in 2009 when Nevada captured a 1-0 win in Reno.

So far this season, the Wolf Pack hold a 2-4-3 overall and 1-1-0 at home. In its last two matches, Nevada is 0-1-1 with a tie against Gonzaga and a loss to Montana. The Wolf Pack's two wins this season came against Eastern Washington and Sacramento State.

Five different Nevada players have scored goals this season. As a team the Wolf Pack have scored five goals with one assist for 11 points. They have allowed nine goals and six assists for 24 points.

Junior defender Taryn Rose is the Aggies' leading scorer with three goals for six points. Juniors Lauren Roundy and Kylie Dibb are second in scoring with two goals for four points apiece. Overall, USU has scored 12 goals this season with seven assists for 31 points.
