USU Soccer To Set To Tangle With UNLV Sunday
Utah State soccer will play in the second game of its two-match road trip to the state of Nevada when USU takes on UNLV on Sunday, Sept. 29 in Las Vegas, Nev. The Mountain West Conference match-up between the Aggies and Rebels is set to start at 2 p.m. (MT) from UNLV's Peter Johann Field.

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State soccer will play in the second game of its two-match road trip to the state of Nevada when USU takes on UNLV on Sunday, Sept. 29 in Las Vegas, Nev. The Mountain West Conference match-up between the Aggies and Rebels is set to start at 2 p.m. (MT) from UNLV's Peter Johann Field.

Live stats will be available through the "GameTracker" link at www.UtahStateAggies.com, the official web site of USU Athletics. There will also be video streaming available through the Mountain West Network. Fans can watch the matches by going to the "Watch Live" link on the front page of the USU web site.

Utah State is 4-4-2 overall and 0-1 in Mountain West after getting its MW opener spoiled by a 2-0 loss at former Western Athletic Conference foe Nevada. The Aggies are in their first season in the MW after eight seasons in the WAC.

UNLV improved its overall record to a league-best 6-3-2, and 1-0 in league play with a 2-1 win over Boise State Friday night.

USU is 0-4-1 in its last five matches. In Utah State's 10 matches, 12 different Aggies have earned a point. Juniors Taryn Rose, Lexie Morgan, Kylie Dibb and Lauren Roundy have found the back of the net, along with freshman Jessica Brooksby and seniors Jennifer Flynn, Mari Miyashiro and Shay Haddow. Fellow freshman Jayne Robison, sophomore defender/midfielder Sarah Lorscheider and junior Brooke Larsen-Leavitt also added assists along with junior forward Ambryn McCallson.

 

 

Dibb and Roundy became the first Aggies with two goals. Dibb added her second goal with the game-winning goal against UTEP on Aug. 30. Roundy scored her second goal against Nebraska on Sept. 2. Robison is the first Aggie to two assists when she assisted on Dibb's goal against UTEP. Rose has three goals two of which came from penalty kicks.

UNLV is led by senior forward Jenn Wolfe, who leads the MW with 12 points off four goals and four assists.
