Aggie Soccer Continuing Homestand Against Colorado College Friday

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State soccer (6-5-1, 1-3-0 MW) returns to Chuck & Gloria Bell Field this weekend, hosting Colorado College (4-5-3, 1-2-1 MW) on Friday, Oct. 6, at 3 p.m.

All Mountain West matches will continue to be broadcast as a USU Athletics Production on the Mountain West Network. All video feeds will be available live and in archive form at utahstateaggies.com/watch. Live stats and play-by-play information will be available through GameTracker, while updates will also be provided through the team’s social media outlets. Links to each option will be available online prior to every match.

Colorado College comes to Logan with a 4-5-3 overall record, including a 1-2-1 Mountain West ledger. Last week, the Tigers split its road matches, falling at UNLV (3-0) and topping Nevada (1-0) in overtime. Junior midfielder Lauren Milliet leads the Colorado College offense with three goals and three assists. Freshman Jade Odom has logged the majority of minutes in the net, where she has allowed 10 goals while tallying 45 saves. Colorado College returns 11 letterwinners from last year’s squad that went 8-11-0 on the year with a 4-7-0 league ledger, finishing ninth. Geoff Bennett is in his 14th season as the head coach of the Colorado College program, where he has an overall record of 146-93-31.

The Aggies and Tigers have a very even history of competing, as the series is tied 2-2-2. The teams had a home-and-home series in the 2010 and 2011 seasons, then Colorado College joined the Mountain West for the 2014 campaign. Last year, the Tigers took the 1-0 win in Colorado Springs. Utah State’s last win came in 2015, in a 3-2 victory at home.

For the Aggies, freshman midfielder Ashley Cardozo is the leading scorer, netting six goals so far this season, while senior forward Wesley Hamblin leads with four assists. Senior Sara Cobb leads the goalkeepers with 59 saves and 14 goals allowed over the year, earning a 1.17 goals against average.
