LOGAN, Utah - Head coach Heather Cairns and the Utah State soccer team earned the National Soccer Coaches of America/adidas Team Academic Award after posting a 3.31 grade point average. This is the sixth-straight year that the Aggies have been honored with the NSCAA award.

USU is one of four Western Athletic Conference squads to be recognized along with Fresno State, Louisiana Tech and Nevada. The Aggies are the only school from the Beehive state to be honored. Cairns' squads have earned the NSCAA Team Award every season that she has been at Utah State.

A total of 363 soccer teams (103 men, 260 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2007-08 academic year.

The Aggies were very successful on the field as well as in the classroom. Utah State ended the season with a 13-8-1 record, advancing to the WAC Tournament championship match. With a perfect 7-0-0 record, USU won its first WAC regular season title.
