Utah State Has 112 Student-Athletes Receive Academic All-WAC Honors This Spring

Of its 57 academic all-WAC selections from its spring sports, Utah State had 23 student-athletes from women's outdoor track honored, along with 15 from men's outdoor track, six from softball, five from both men's tennis and women's tennis, and three from the men's golf team.

2012 (Jr.): Was named first-team all-WAC in her first season with Utah State... The junior first baseman also received national recognition for her 2012 campaign, as she was named an Easton second-team All-American... Started 52 games for Utah State in 2012 seeing the majority of her time at first base... Led the team with a .418 batting average, which was also tied for the highest batting average in the WAC and second highest in school history... Was also in the top 10 in the WAC in slugging percentage (.614), on base percentage (.477) and doubles (22)... Also led her squad in runs scored (30), hits (66) and total bases (97)... Her 66 hits in a single-season are the third-most in school history... The standout slugger was also one of the hardest batters to strikeout in the nation, as she posted a 0.13-strikeout rate per game... Only struck out seven times last season... Gloved a .993 fielding percentage with 404 putouts in 419 attempts.

Colorado State: Had a .377 batting average in two seasons with the Rams as well as 72 RBI... Had 17 multiple hit games and 12 multiple RBI games, including one four RBI in one game... Had an 11-game hitting streak and a fielding percentage of .994 percent... Playing in all 49 games with the Rams in 2010.
