Assistant coach Kelly Park begins her second season at Utah State. Park was a three-year starter at Northern Illinois University. She won the team's Sportswoman of the Year award in 2006. At NIU, Park was second on the team in stolen bases in 2006 with nine. She hit .255 that same year. In 2005, she led the team in runs scored. In high school, Park was a four-year letterwinner at West Aurora High School in Aurora, Ill. She ranks in the West Aurora HS all-time top 10 in runs scored, hits, stolen bases, runs batted in, doubles and triples in just three years of varsity softball. She was a three-time all-conference nominee. Park hit .351 as a senior, driving in 17 runs with a .477 slugging percentage. She was also a four-time letterwinner in basketball. Born January 2, 1985, Park is the daughter of Tai and Judy Park. She has two brothers, Jason (27) and Matt (21). At Utah State, she is currently working on a master's degree in education. |
