Utah State Softball Continues Road Trip at CSU Bakersfield Tuesday

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State softball continues its two-week California adventure with a doubleheader against CSU Bakersfield on Tuesday, March 11. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. (MT).
The Aggies concluded the Highlander Classic in Riverside with an 8-6 loss to host UC Riverside on March 9. With the loss on Sunday, Utah State fell to 5-7 overall and have lost four-straight games, going 0-4 at the Highlander Classic.
The Roadrunners are in their first season in the Western Athletic Conference. Utah State just left the WAC for the Mountain West this season.
The Aggies are led by freshman third baseman Victoria Saucedo who is the only player on the team hitting over .400 with a .417 batting average. She is first on the team in runs scored with 11 and hits with 15. Fellow freshman first baseman Paxton Provost is second in hitting with a .353 average and is second in hits with 12.
In the circle, sophomore Noelle Johnson is 4-5 this season with a 3.72 earned run average. Johnson has done the bulk of the pitching this season with 52.2 innings pitched. She has also struck out 65 of the Aggies' 71 overall strikeouts.
Utah State's two-week road trip continues. USU will take on Cal State Northridge in doubleheader on Wednesday, March 12 before, traveling to Santa Barbara for the Gaucho Classic II from March 13-15.
