Schedule Changes for Utah State's Upcoming Weekend Softball Series With Nevada
April 1, 2010
LOGAN, Utah - Utah State softball's home and Western Athletic Conference opener will now be a doubleheader due to impending inclement weather. Instead of playing a single game on Friday, April 2, the Aggies will play a doubleheader against Nevada, slated for a 1 p.m. start.
USU is scheduled to complete the three-game series on Saturday, with a time to be announced later.
A helicopter is scheduled to hover above the field Friday morning in an attempt to further dry off the field from Wednesday's snow storm.
Utah State is currently 12-15 on the season, with a 1-2 WAC record, after a doubleheader with BYU scheduled for Wednesday was postponed. In their last action, the Aggies were swept by the Wolverines of Utah Valley on Tuesday.
Nevada brings a 14-14 overall record and 1-2 WAC ledger into Friday's action as the Wolf Pack's scheduled doubleheader at Weber State was also postponed.
Following this weekend, Utah State is scheduled to take on Hawai'i on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 6-7 in a three-game WAC series. Tuesday's single-game is slated for a 3 p.m. with Wednesday's twinbill scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.
