LOGAN, Utah - April showers have once again led the Utah State softball team to relocate its doubleheader with UTSA to its new home away from home, the Barnes Sports Complex in Kaysville, Utah. The doubleheader is tentatively scheduled to begin at Noon.

On Friday, the Aggies captured their first Western Athletic Conference win of the season, 2-1 in eight innings, against the Roadrunners in Kaysville. The second game was started so according to WAC policy a doubleheader can be attempted today.

Utah State holds a 7-28 overall mark this season and stands 1-6 in league play. UTSA is 19-15 overall and 4-3 in conference play.

The Aggies have won two-straight games after a commanding 12-4 win at Idaho State on April 3. Both freshmen Noelle Johnson and senior Shelbi Tyteca have earned wins in the circle this week.

Following the series with the Roadrunners, Utah State prepares for a busy week of games next week. USU will travel to Orem to face in-state rival Utah Valley on Tuesday, April 9 ay 4 p.m. The Aggies will then return to host another Beehive State rival, BYU, at LaRee and LeGrand Johnson Softball Field on Wendesday, April 10 at 4 p.m., before hitting the road for a three-game WAC series with newcomer Seattle April 12-13.
