Utah State Softball Playing Final Series of 2018 at San Diego State
Utah State softball (18-31, 7-14 MW) will conclude its 2018 season this weekend with a three-game Mountain West series at San Diego State (17-31, 8-13 MW), beginning with a game on Thursday, May 10, at 7 p.m. (MT).

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State softball (18-31, 7-14 MW) will conclude its 2018 season this weekend with a three-game Mountain West series at San Diego State (17-31, 8-13 MW), beginning with a game on Thursday, May 10, at 7 p.m. (MT). The series will continue with games on Friday, May 11, and Saturday, May 12, at 7 p.m. and noon, respectively.

All Mountain West games will continue to be broadcast as a USU Athletics Production on the Mountain West Network. All video feeds will be available live and in archive form at utahstateaggies.com/watch. Live stats and play-by-play information will be available through GameTracker, while updates will also be provided through the team’s social media outlets. Links to each option will be available online prior to every game.

San Diego State opens the final weekend of the season with a 17-31 overall record, including an 8-13 ledger against Mountain West opponents. Junior second baseman Katie Byrd leads the Aztec offense, where she is batting .312 (49-of-157), including nine doubles. Senior Alex Formby is the top pitcher for San Diego State, where she has a 2.60 ERA and a team-best 80 strikeouts. As a team, the Aztecs are batting .243 (308-of-1,266) and have a team ERA of 3.33. Kathy Van Wyk is in her 22nd season as the head coach at San Diego State, where she has an overall record of 733-504-1. SDSU leads the all-time series against the Aggies, 17-7.

For the Aggies, senior third baseman Amee Aarhus is batting a team-high .350 (36-of-103), where she has tallied six doubles, three triples and three home runs. As a team, Utah State is hitting .278 (369-of-1,329). In the circle, freshman Delaney Hull leads the pitching staff with a 2.73 ERA and a 9-8 individual record, while the four pitchers have allowed 396 hits and 265 runs with a combined 4.02 ERA.
