Utah State softball has announced its 2018 schedule, highlighted by four preseason tournaments and four Mountain West home series.

Utah State's 2018 opponents represent 13 different athletic conferences. Among them are six teams who won their respective conference championships and 10 teams that played in the 2017 postseason. There are five teams on the schedule that will be first-time opponents for the Aggies.

Utah State will open the season at the Titan Classic, hosted by Cal State Fullerton, Feb. 9-11. The Aggies will begin the tournament against Pittsburgh and the host Titans. Action will continue through the weekend against Middle Tennessee State, Loyola Marymount and Rutgers. The next weekend will find USU playing at the Wilson/DeMarini Desert Classic hosted by UNLV, Feb. 16-18. While in Las Vegas, the Aggies will play Florida International, Seattle, Buffalo, Hawai'i and Bradley.

The team will conclude the month of February at a tournament hosted by Texas A&M Corpus Christi, Feb. 23-25. There, the Aggies will play a pair of games against the host Islanders, two against Texas Southern and one against Omaha.

The Aggies then take a break from tournament play for one game, as they play at Pacific on March 7. Tournament action will continue the following day in a weekend hosted by UC Davis, March 8-10. Utah State will play two games against the host Aggies, as well as two against Northern Colorado and one against Valparaiso.

Utah State will open home competition on March 14, when it hosts Weber State. Interspersed with Mountain West play, Utah State will play several other non-conference games. The Aggies will play a doubleheader with Idaho State and Utah Valley in Orem on March 21. Utah State will also host both the Bengals and the Wolverines, on April 11 and April 18, respectively. The Aggies will play a home-and-home series with BYU, hosting the Cougars on April 3 and playing in Provo on April 25. Additionally, Utah State will play a pair of games against Louisiana Tech in McKinney, Texas, April 27 and 28.

The Mountain West portion of the season will include four home and four away series. The Aggies will host Boise State (March 16-17), Nevada (March 29-31), Colorado State (April 13-15) and defending conference champions San José State (March 4-6). Road league series include trips to UNLV (March 23-25), Fresno State (April 6-8), New Mexico (April 20-22) and San Diego State (May 10-12).

The Mountain West does not sponsor a conference softball tournament. Qualifying teams will begin postseason play at NCAA Regionals, with Super Regionals following. Both rounds will be played at regional sites across the country. Dates for the regional rounds will be announced at a later date. The 2018 Women's College World Series will be played May 31-June 6, at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City, Okla.
