Two USU Softball Players Earn NFCA Scholar-Athlete Award
Two Utah State softball players have earned National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Scholar-Athlete awards for the 2016-17 school year.

LOGAN, Utah - Two Utah State softball players have earned National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Scholar-Athlete awards for the 2016-17 school year.

Junior outfielder Mia Maher and senior pitcher Jordyn McCracken are among 1,843 Division I student-athletes to earn the award. To earn the NFCA Scholar-Athlete award, a student-athlete must earn a 3.5 or better grade point average for the entire school year. This is Maher's second time earning the accolade, and McCracken's third.

Maher and McCracken are two of 33 student-athletes from the Mountain West to be honored.
