Registration Open For January Utah State Softball Camps

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State softball coach Steve Johnson announced that registration is now open for three softball camps beginning in January of 2014.

The first camp is the High School/Pitching Clinic on Saturday, Jan. 11 from 1-4 p.m. The high school hitting and pitching clinic is open to any and all entrants who are currently in 8th-12th grade. The camp is limited to only 20 hitters and 10 pitchers. Campers will receive both evaluation and instruction. The cost of the camp is $75.

The second camp will be on Sunday, Jan. 19 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The second camp is called the MLK Holiday Elite Showcase Camp which is held over the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday weekend. The MLK Holiday Elite Showcase camp is open to any and all entrants who are currently in 7th-11th grade. The camp is limited to the first 48 registrations and will only be accepting 12 pitchers. The camp includes a T-shirt and lunch and costs $150.

The final January camp will take place on Saturday, Jan. 25 and is called the Little Aggie Hitting/Pitching Clinic. The Little Aggie Hitting and Pitching Clinic is open to any and all entrants who are currently in 3rd- 7th grades. The camp is limited to only 20 hitters and 10 pitchers. Campers will receive both evaluation and instruction. The cost of the camp is $75.

Campers can register online at http://www.aggiesoftballcamps.com/upcoming-softball-camps.cfm. Check in will be 30 minutes prior to the beginning of all camps.

All three camps will take place at the USU Stan Laub Indoor Complex. All pitchers must provide their own catcher with their own gear, if necessary. Hitters must also provide their own bat and helmet.

The 2014 edition of the Aggies will begin on the road at the St. George Tournament on Feb. 7-8. Utah State's first Mountain West contest will be at home on March 21 against Colorado State.
