Softball To Hold Fifth Annual Winter Players' Clinic in January

LOGAN, Utah -
Utah State softball head coach Lonny Sargent will conduct the Fifth Annual Winter Players' Clinic in January, it was announced recently.
The clinic is available in two separate two-day sessions for those ages 8-18. Areas of emphasis include defense, pitching, catching, hitting and base running.
All lessons are taught in the Stan Laub Indoor Training Facility on the Utah State University campus. Session one runs on Jan. 14 and 15, while session two runs on Jan. 14 and 21. Each session is an all day event running from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 14 and 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Jan 15 and 21.
The cost for each two-day session is $150 if registered before Jan. 6, and $175 after. Space is limited so participants are encouraged to register early.
Participants are recommended to wear turf shoes and must provide their own glove and bat. Catchers are required to bring a full set of catching gear.
The Utah State softball staff will also be holding a one-day baseball clinic for boys. Information will be forthcoming.
