USU Softball to Host Clinics

Utah State softball will host a clinic for players ages 7 to 18 in January and a coaches' clinic in February. USU head coach Debbie Bilbao, assistant coaches Lisa Hashimoto-Hall and Holly Dixon, and the Utah State softball team will lead the clinics.
The players' camp is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 18 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will emphasize fundamental skills, including throwing, footwork, fielding, hitting mechanics and position play. The cost is $65 preregistered, $60 per player in groups larger than five and $75 at the door.. Players need to bring their own gloves and gym shoes.
The coaches' clinic on Saturday Feb. 1 will cover outfield and infield mechanics, relays and cutoffs, bunt defense, pitching and catching and tips on college recruiting. The clinic is free and scheduled to last from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
