LOGAN, Utah - Courtney Anderson scored the only point for the Utah State women's tennis team this afternoon in a 6-1 loss to No. 26 Oklahoma.

Anderson won the No. 4 singles match against Sooner Jessica Braver in three sets, 6-4, 5-7, 10-4. At No. 5 singles Andrea Barker also had a close match, taking it three sets before dropping the match in a tie breaker 6-4, 6-7 (4-7), 10-4.

"Our matches were close," said Utah State assistant coach Andy Madersbacher. "It was good for the women to come out a play a ranked team and play as well as they did. Doubles were close, and we played well. They executed better than we did, but we're getting better every match."

The women's next match is at home on Friday, Feb. 18 against Mesa State at 9 a.m.
