LOGAN, Utah - Utah State women's tennis team beat Montana State-Billings in a 6-1 home match Tuesday at the Sports Academy and Racquet Club. With the win, the Aggies are now 3-8 this season while the Yellowjackets fall to 0-2.

In singles, Aggie No. 2, freshman Hailey Swenson defeated Anne-Sophie Tredet, 7-5, 6-2. At No. 3, USU junior Bridgette Strickland battled MSU-B's Marta Borges defeating her 6-2, 6-2. Sophomore Marie Livingston, playing at No.6 beat Victoria Fernandez 6-4, 6-3 for the final point of the match.

At No. 3 doubles, USU's freshmen tandem of Taylor Perry and Jennifer Johnson defeated Mollie McAlpine and Fernandez, 8-1.

The Aggies will play again Friday, March 7, at 1 p.m. at the Sports Academy and Racquet Club.
