Utah State Women's Tennis Beats Dixie State, 7-0, Friday

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State's women's tennis team swept the Dixie State Rebels on Friday, 7-0, winning all six singles and all three doubles matches. The Aggies improved to 5-9 on the season. USU sophomore Brianna Harris defeated Lydia Harris at No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-1. Aggie freshman Hailey Swenson followed suit beating Ashley Lafeen, 6-0, 6-2 in the No. 2 singles seat. Utah State junior Bridgette Strickland and sophomore Marie Livingston did not give up a game in the No. 3 and No. 6 slots, respectively, as they defeated Annie Salmon and Ashley Johnson by scores of 6-0, 6-0. In doubles action, Strickland and Harris beat Lafeen and Brittny Roemer in the No. 1 spot, 8-2, while teammates sophomore Britney Watts and Swenson swept Dixie State's Rebecca Wright and Salmon, 8-0, at No. 2. The Aggies continue action on Saturday, March 29 facing Cal State Bakersfield at 3 p.m. at the Sports Academy and Racquet Club in Logan, Utah. UTAH STATE 7, DIXIE STATE 0 Singles
