UTAH STATE WOMEN'S TENNIS SWEPT BY BOISE STATE

BOISE, Idaho--Utah State's women's tennis team was swept 7-0 by the Boise State Broncos Thursday evening. Suffering the loss, the Aggies team record dropped to 7-9 for the season.

Utah State lost all its singles matches in two sets. Lindsey Bennion fell to Alissa Ayling at the No. 1 position, 6-0, 6-2. Jill Smith who lead the team to victory earlier this week against Colorado lost her match as she went up against Broncos Megan Biorkman and fell 6-2, 6-0. The closest match of the evening was in the No. 6 spot where Andrea Barker was defeated by her opponent 6-3, 6-3.

In doubles action Bennion and Carolyn Stephens came the closest to winning their match in the No. 1 spot but the Broncos pair Ayling and Biorkman outplayed the Aggies winning 8-4.

The Aggies will be in action again tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. in Boise where they will face off against Gonzaga, and on Saturday when they battle Lewis and Clark at 9:30 a.m.
