Utah State Falls to Portland State, 5-2, Saturday

BOISE, Idaho - Utah State women's tennis fell, 5-2, to the Portland State Vikings in Boise, Idaho on Saturday. In the No. 1 singles match, sophomore Brianna Harris was beating Portland State's Lacey Pflibsen, after winning the first set, and then Pflibsen retired to give Harris the win. USU freshman Hailey Swenson beat Stephanie Fuchs in the No.2 singles match 7-5, 2-6, 10-2. In doubles action, Bridgette Strickland and Harris fell to PSU's Molly Knox and Pflibsen, 8-2. Taylor Perry and Jennifer Johnson also fell to Portland State's Alyssa Ferry and Caitlin Stocking, 8-2. Utah State moves to 6-11 on the season, while the Vikings improve to 6-14. The Aggies continue action Tuesday, April 8, in Ogden, Utah against Weber State. Portland State 5, Utah State 2 Singles Doubles
