PROVO, Utah - Utah State women's tennis finishes up Friday play in the BYU Invitational hosted by the No. 64 ranked Cougars. The Aggies advanced into both the A and B singles silver brackets after Thursday's competition.

USU junior Taylor Perry and freshmen Jaclyn West and Kristina Voytsekhovich competed in the A silver singles bracket Friday morning. All three Aggies advanced to the second round with only Voytsekhovich advancing on to the third round. Voytsekhovich defeated Colorado State's Kirsten Stople in the first round, Wyoming's Carly Van Hollen in the second round and fell to CSU's Caitlin Fluegge, 6-2, 6-3.

In the B silver singles bracket, sophomore Carla Limon fell to Weber State's Brittiny Moore in the first round. Freshman Sadi Wilkins advanced to the second round after a bye to fall to fellow Aggie freshman Jenny Phillips, 7-6 (5), 1-6, 6-0. Senior Britney Watts led USU with wins in the first, second and third rounds, defeating CSU's Xu Rui and Lauren Mulhern and USU teammate Phillips.

Watts will be the sole Aggie to advance on in competition. Watts will face Weber State's Moore 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19, in the BYU Invitational B silver singles bracket.
