Britney Watts Named WAC Women's Tennis Player Of The Week

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State women's tennis player Britney Watts has been named the Western Athletic Conference Player of the Week it was announced by the league office on Monday. It is the first time this year a USU tennis player has been named WAC Athlete of the week.

Watts, a sophomore from Salt Lake City, Utah (Cottonwood), clinched the fourth point and the victory for the Aggies, defeating Weber State, 4-3 on Feb. 2. Watts battled the Wildcats Greyce Farias in a three-set match, winning 6-1, 3-6, 6-4, to help seal the Aggies first team victory of the season. On the season Watts is 1-1 in singles and doubles.

Utah State is 1-1 one the season with the win against the Wildcats. The Aggies continue action Wednesday, Feb. 6 when they take on Idaho State at Pocatello, Idaho at 1:30 p.m.
