Utah State Women's Tennis Plays At In-State Rival Weber State Wednesday

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State women's tennis travels to Ogden for a match against Weber State on Wednesday, April 14 at 11 a.m. (MT). The match marks the second meeting between the schools this season with the Aggies leading the series 1-0 after a 7-0 victory at home earlier this season. USU looks to improve its 8-10 season record.
In USU's most recent loss, 6-1, to Nevada, freshman Jaclyn West tallied the sole Aggie point after the Wolf Pack's Emma Verberne retired at the two singles position. West holds an impressive 10-7 singles record and an Aggie-high 3-2 Western Athletic Conference singles record. Senior Hailey Swenson and freshman Kristina Voytsekhovich lead USU in singles competition with a 11-7 and 11-6 record, respectively. Despite an 8-5 loss to Nevada's Maria Mizyuk and Sophie Stevens at the one spot, Swenson and West continue to lead the Aggies in doubles competition with 12-6 season record and a 2-3 mark in WAC action.
Utah State looks to improve its 1-4 WAC record when it travels to Boise, Idaho on Friday, April 16 and Saturday, April 17 when the Aggies compete in three WAC matches against Boise State, Idaho and Louisiana Tech.
