Davis and junior Jaci West (La Quinta, Calif.) were named to all-WAC Doubles second team. The duo ended the season with a record of 15-3.
“Those two have had an awesome season,” said assistant coach Bryan Marchant. “They had lots of good, dominating wins. They work really well together both on and off the court. You can’t complain about how well they did.”
Fresno State dominated the awards, having nine players earning all-WAC honors. Both the men’s and women’s Player of the Year awards went to Fresno State players, Remi Boutillier and Marianne Jodoin. Freshman of the Year honors went to Nevada’s Moex Echargui and Hawai’i’s Jamie Pawid. Fresno State’s head coaches wereboth named Coach of the Year. Simon Thibodeau coaches the women’s team and Jay Udwadia coaches the men’s.
"I’m happy for them. I think they definitely deserve it,” said USU head coach Christian Wright. “I’m glad the coaches felt like these kids were deserving. It’s a nice honor, we’re proud of them. It’s something to build on for next year.”
