USU WOMEN'S TENNIS HEADS TO BYU INVITATIONAL THURSDAY-SATURDAY

Sept. 21, 2004

LOGAN - Teams scheduled to compete include host BYU as well as Weber State, Utah, Colorado State, Denver, New Mexico and Boise State.

"We're excited to take a look at where we're at," said head coach Christian Wright. "This tournament has been a good tournament in the past, and it should give us a good look at the field."

The Aggies are led this year by Courtney Anderson (10-12 overall last year), Lindsey Bennion (8-16), Jill Smith (6-16), and Carolyn Stephens (6-16). As a team, the Aggies finished at 5-14 last spring.

This tournament also gives Utah State the chance to experiment with its doubles teams. "We're trying some things out," said Wright. "We may move some things around, we'll see."

Wright is in his 14th year as head coach and is assisted by former Utah State men's players Andy Madersbacher and Steve Peterson.
