Middle Blocker Shannon McPherron Joining Aggies

McPherron, a 6-0 middle blocker from Sandy, Utah, was a two-year starter at Brighton HS, where she helped the Bengals to a 22-7 record during her senior season, finishing second in Region 3 and a fifth-place finish at the Utah 5A State Tournament. She was a two-time all-region selection, posting Brighton's highest hitting percentage on the team, as well as earning the Bengals' Most Improved Player award her senior season. McPherron helped Brighton to the Nike Tournament of Champions title, as well as a third-place finish at the Utah Classic Tournament.

"We're excited to have Shannon as an Aggie. She gives us talent and depth at middle blocker. She has the potential to be a great middle blocker for us as she adapts to the college game along with our blocking schemes and philosophies," DuBose said.

McPherron played for Club V Volleyball in Woods Cross, Utah. Off the court, McPherron was a four-time honor roll selection.
