2011 Season (JR.): Played in not only all 29 matches, but all 110 sets during the season... One of only two players to play in all 110 sets and one of four players to appear in all 29 matches... Earned second-team all-WAC honors after hitting .202 with 283 kills (2.57 per set), ranking second on team in kills... Her season-high came against New Mexico State on Oct. 27 with 19 kills, one of 16 matches with double-digit kills including one of three with 15 or more kills... Also second in block assists with 92... Posted second-high eight blocks vs. Idaho State on Sept. 1 while adding seven at Weber State on Sept. 6... Finished the season with 78 digs, earning a season-high 12 at Utah Valley on Nov. 3... Had a hitting percentage over .500 in two matches, vs. New Mexico State (19-3-30) on Oct. 27 and at Nevada (14-3-21) on Nov. 10... Had 30 or more attempts in eight matches including season-high 33 in two matches, first vs. SMU on Sept. 10 and against vs. Fresno State on Oct. 13... Earned academic all-WAC honors for the third-straight season.
2010 Season (SO.): Played in 32 matches, starting 19, and 111 sets during the season...Finished the year third on the team with 244 kills and fourth in hitting percentage at .221 (244-105-628)... Averaged 2.20 kills and 0.81 blocks per set... Recorded double-digits in kills nine times during the season, including a career-high 16 kills at Brigham Young on Sept. 14... Best offensive match of the season was against No. 3 Hawai'i in the championship match of the WAC Tournament as she hit a career-high .684 (13-0-19) with 13 kills and no attack errors on 19 swings... Was named to the WAC's all-tournament team as she hit .333 (31-7-72) in three matches, while averaging 2.58 kills, 0.75 blocks and 0.33 digs per set... Was named the Most Valuable Player of the Montana Invitational as she hit .278 (29-9-72) and averaged 2.64 kills, 1.18 blocks and 0.55 digs per set in wins against Montana (3-1), Temple (3-1) and North Dakota (3-0)... Earned academic all-WAC honors.
2009 Season (FR.): Played in 10 matches and 12 sets during the year... Had her best match of the season in a three-set win against The Citadel on Sept. 11 as she hit .429 (7-1-14) with a season-high seven kills... Also had a season-high two digs in the match... Finished the year with a .290 (14-5-31) hitting percentage and averaged 1.17 kills and 0.42 digs per set... Earned academic all-WAC honors.
High School/Club: Earned first-team all-area and all-region honors as both a junior and senior at Weber High School... Was the team's leader in kills three-straight years... Also played basketball in high school, earning second-team all-state honors... Was an academic all-region selection in both volleyball and basketball.
Personal: Born July 9, 1991 in Murray, Utah... One of five children of Michael and Sheila Sorensen... Her mother played volleyball at the University of Utah... Majoring in exercise science.
