Taubi Palmer (pronounced Tau-bee) is entering her 11th year on the coaching staff after officially joining the Aggie bench in August, 2007.

As an assistant coach at Utah State, Palmer is the team’s travel coordinator, is in charge of equipment and helps with implementing offensive systems.

A native of Otto, Wyo., Palmer played for two seasons on Utah State’s volleyball team in 2002 and 2003 and set a then single-season digs record as a senior with 362. She began her collegiate career at Northwest Community College in Powell, Wyo., where she earned all-region and all-conference honors as a freshman and sophomore.

Palmer graduated from USU in 2004 with a degree in physical education/pre-physical therapy and earned a master’s degree from BYU in exercise science in 2010. Following her collegiate career, Palmer served an 18-month LDS Church Mission in Chile.

Palmer’s sisters also played for Utah State with younger sister Paige (Neves) finishing her career in 2014 and wrapping up her time in Logan No. 2 on the all-time assists list (4,220) and as the only player in USU history to exceed both 4,000 assists and 1,000 digs (1,030) in her career. Older sister, Chelsi, played at USU from 2000-01 and is No. 5 on the career assists list.

Palmer married husband Jeff in April of 2015 and the couple welcomed a daughter, Tayna, in December of 2016.
