USU Volleyball Signee Hannah Gleason To Play In Nationally Televised Match Friday
Utah State volleyball signee Hannah Gleason will be leading her club team in a nationally televised tournament Friday night live from Richmond, Va.

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State volleyball signee Hannah Gleason will be leading her club team in a nationally televised tournament Friday night live from Richmond, Va.

Gleason and her Irvine, Calif.-based TStreet Volleyball Club, are in the four-team Triple Crown Classic in Richmond, Va., with teams from around the country. TStreet will be joining fellow elite 18's division teams Texas Advantage Volleyball Club from Fort Worth, Texas, Asics Munciana from Yorktown, Ind., and Spiral Under Armour from Chandler, Ariz. The four-team bracket will feature two semifinal matches starting at 8 a.m. (MT) on June 21 as Spiral Under Armour faces Texas Advantage and TStreet takes on Munciana.

CBS Sports Network (Comcast Ch. 269/753 HD; DirecTV Ch. 613; Dish Ch. 152) will air the third-place match on Friday at 4:30 p.m. (MT), following by the championship match at 7 p.m. (MT). Thad Anderson (play-by-play) and two-time NCAA D1 All-American Angela Knopf (analyst) will be calling the action. Between the two matches the first-ever Club Volleyball National Rankings Show will air announcing the top 40 girls' volleyball clubs in the country.

A 5-6 libero from Las Flores, Calif., Gleason helped Tesoro High School to three-straight California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) playoff appearances, finished ranked No. 24 in the country and No. 7 in California by She also earned all-Southern California and all-American honors. Gleason led Tesoro HS in digs all three seasons, earning first-team all-league accolades as both a junior and senior. This season, she was tabbed first-team all-Orange County as the only libero/defensive specialist on the awards list.

Gleason is in her first season with the TStreet Volleyball Club, ranked No. 1 in the country by, and coached by Olympic Gold Medalist Troy Tanner, helping them to the Vegas Classic and So Cal Qualifier titles. Before TStreet, Gleason played with Laguna Beach Club, helping them to six-straight USA Jr. National appearances, most recently playing in the 2012 18-Open National Championships. During her time with Laguna Beach, Gleason helped the club to five national open qualifier titles. Off the court, Gleason is a four-time District Scholar-Athlete, maintaining a 4.0 GPA.



The 2012 Western Athletic Conference regular-season champion Aggies return four starters, who were also all-WAC honorees, from last season's squad that posted a milestone season with a 21-9 record. Utah State won its first-ever WAC regular-season title to go with its 2010 WAC Tournament championship in its eighth and final season in the league before joining the Mountain West Conference next season.
