LOGAN, Utah - Utah State volleyball will play at San Jose State on Saturday, Nov. 10 in the Aggies' final road match of the regular season. First serve from SJSU's Spartan Gym in San Jose, Calif., is slated for 8 p.m. (MT).
After clinching at least a share of the Western Athletic Conference regular-season title with its win at New Mexico State on Nov. 3, USU can win its first WAC regular-season championship in school history outright with a win at SJSU on Saturday.
This is the first WAC regular-season title for the Aggies, adding to Utah State's WAC Tournament title won in 2010. USU's last conference title was winning the Eastern Division of the Big West in 1999 under Tom Peterson. Current USU head coach Grayson DuBose was an assistant on that team, and has now been a part of the last two conference titles.
Taking a 19-7 overall record and 14-2 WAC ledger into Saturday's match at SJSU, USU has now won 19 matches in a season twice under head coach Grayson DuBose. A win Saturday would give the Aggies their 11th 20-win season in school history and second in the last three years, winning 24 in 2010. The Aggies are seeking their 15th WAC win of the season, which would extend its school record for most WAC wins as well as most conference wins, as USU topped its previous mark of 12 Big West Conference wins in 2001.
Utah State is on an eight-match road win streak, the Aggies' longest road win streak in a single-season in school history. Overall, the Aggies have won their last six matches, as well as 11 of their last 13 matches.
The Spartans are 12-14 overall and 8-8 in WAC play, entering the weekend seventh in the WAC standings. SJSU has lost its last two matches, getting swept at both New Mexico State on Thursday and at Denver on Saturday, and the Spartans have lost five of their last nine matches.
In addition to several team milestones, some Aggie players will be pursuing some individual milestones as well.
Now with 979 assists this season, sophomore setter Paige Neves (Otto, Wyo.) needs just 21 assists to reach the 1,000 assists plateau for the season. Neves would reach the milestone for the 16th time in school history, becoming the ninth different Aggie to dish out 1,000 assists in a season.
Senior opposite side hitter Shay Sorensen (North Ogden, Utah) needs 13 more kills to break into the USU career top 10 kills list, with 850 kills, as Niki Conner (1995-98) has 863 career kills. Sorensen also needs one block assist and three total blocks to crack into the respective top 10 lists.
Senior outside hitter Josselyn White (Smithfield, Utah) broke a USU school record for attack percentage in USU's win over LA Tech on Oct. 27 hitting .812 with 13 kills in 16 attacks with no errors. White also enters this week with 315 career total blocks, needing four more to tie Michelle Matheson (1998-2001) for No. 6 on USU's career total blocks list.

USU will return home to host Texas State on Wednesday, Nov. 14 in the Aggies' final home match. It will be Senior Night as USU will be honoring its three seniors: Kassi Hargrove, Shay Sorensen and Josselyn White.
