Utah State's Liz McArthur Earns Academic All-District Honors Again
For the second year in a row, Utah State volleyball player Liz McArthur was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District VIII team it was announced Thursday.

LOGAN, Utah - For the second year in a row, Utah State volleyball player Liz McArthur was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District VIII team it was announced Thursday.

McArthur, who was named to the District VIII third team as a junior, was named to the first team in this her senior season and she is now eligible for CoSIDA Academic All-America honors.

McArthur was the only player from the state of Utah recognized and one of just four players from the Western Athletic Conference to be honored joining Cecilia Agraz (Fresno State) who was also named to the first team, while Kanani Danielson (Hawai'i) and Marissa Brand (Fresno State) were both named to the second team.

McArthur, a senior outside hitter from St. George, Utah (Snow Canyon HS), has a cumulative 3.76 grade-point average in family, consumer and human development and has earned academic all-WAC honors three times in her career. McArthur currently ranks fourth in the WAC in both kills (3.79) and points (4.19) per set.

Utah State has now had four different players earn academic all-district honors a total of seven times in the last five years.

District VIII is made up of schools from Arizona, California, Hawai'i, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington.
