Mike is entering his 1st year serving as the Head Athletic Trainer at Utah State University. Williams has spent the past 14 years as an assistant athletics trainer at Utah State, working primarily with the men's basketball program, while providing support for USU's other 15 NCAA Division I programs.
Mike began his athletic training career at Utah State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. He attended graduate school at the University of Idaho and graduated with a Master's of Science in Sports Administration in 1997. Prior to working at Utah State, Mike also worked for Intermountain Health Care as an athletic trainer and served as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Idaho Stampede of the CBA.
Mike was raised in Arimo, Idaho. He enjoys riding his motorcycle in his spare time.
Fawn Michel, MS, ATC Assistant Athletic Trainer
Fawn is entering her 19th year working as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Utah State University. Fawn's primary responsibility is Women's Volleyball and secondary responsibility is to all other Aggie sports. Fawn began her athletic training career after graduating from Ithaca College in 1988, where she graduated with Bachelor of Science in K-12 Physical Education with a concentration in Athletic Training. She attended graduate school at the University of Arizona, where she graduated with a Master's of Science in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Athletic Training in 1990.
Fawn was raised in Troy, Pennsylvania. She is married to Darin and has two daughters, Jesse and Kennedy. She enjoys watching her kids play sports, playing with her dog, camping and being outside.
Sam Gay, MEd, ATC Assistant Athletic Trainer
Sam was hired as the Assistant Athletic Trainer at Utah State University in July 2013. Gay's primary responsibility is men's basketball, while providing support for USU's other 15 NCAA Division 1 programs. He comes to Utah State after two years at University of the Pacific, working with the Tiger's women's volleyball and baseball programs. Before Pacific, Gay was an intern athletic trainer for the San Francisco 49ers.
Sam began his athletic training career after graduating from Eastern Washington University in 2008, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training, with a double-minor in Health Sciences and Coaching Basketball. Sam earned his Master's degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation in 2010 from Utah State University. While at USU, he served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the Aggies cross country and track and field programs, as well as assisted with the football program.
Sam was born and raised in Port Angeles, Washington. Gay and his wife, Sabrina, have a son, Oliver, and a daughter, Aubrey.
Lindsay Richardson, MS, ATC, PES Assistant Athletic Trainer
Lindsay is entering her 1st year working as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Utah State University. Her primary responsibility is the men's and women's cross country and track and field programs, as well as providing support for USU's other 15 NCAA Division 1 programs.
Lindsay began her athletic training career after graduating from Boise State University in 2012, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. She worked with Boise State's football, men's basketball, and track and field programs, as well as Idaho's ECHL hockey and NBA development teams. She then went on to earn her Master's degree in Exercise Science, with an emphasis in Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention, from California University of Pennsylvania in 2013. During her time in Pennsylvania, she served as the graduate assistant athletic trainer for Clarion University's volleyball, wrestling, and baseball programs.
Lindsay was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and being outdoors, hiking, camping, and trying new things.
